Vikki Carlson and Sarah are the Teammates mentor and mentee for September, the organization announced Thursday.

Carlson is the associate principal at North Platte High. She is married to Lance Carlson and they have two children.

Vikki’s hobbies are reading, traveling and exercising, and she loves to attend and watch Husker football games. She said joined TeamMates because she enjoys being connected to a student and loves doing “girl things” with her mentee.

Sarah is in the 11th grade at North Platte High School. She is a cheerleader along with being involved with the drama club, and she enjoys being with family and hanging out with friends. Sarah said being in TeamMates gives her a chance to hang out with an adult who she trusts and connects with, besides her loving parents.

Vikki and Sarah have had a TeamMates friendship for more than a year, and Sarah has been involved in the program for three years. They work on crafts and other projects together. They both feel with their kindred upbringing and close family connections that they have a lot in common, while getting along very well.
