Monte Hueftle of Brady was killed Tuesday afternoon in a one-vehicle wreck about seven miles southeast of Brady.
The tire of Hueftle's pickup blew. The pickup veered into the ditch and hit at least two trees, witnesses said.
the Lincoln County Sheriff's deputies responded to a call at 5:26 p.m., according to as sheriff's statement.
Heuftle was not wearing a seatbelt and was partially ejected. He was dead on the scene, the sheriff said.
The wreck occured about a quarter mile east of the the McPheeters Road and Banner Road intersection, the statement said. Alcohol is not believed to be a factor.
An accident reconstructionist from the sheriff’s office is completing the investigation and results were still pending Wednesday.
Hueftle was 39.
