Deb Fischer agreed Friday to debate Bob Kerrey for the second time on Sept. 28. The debate will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 28 at the Omaha Community Playhouse, 6915 Cass St, hosted by the Omaha Chamber of Commerce and KETV in Omaha. The debate will be broadcast at 6 p.m. on KETV the following Sunday, Fischer's campaign manager Aaron Trost said Friday. The debate "will be an excellent platform for Nebraskans to hear where the candidates stand on the issues,” Trost said. “The debate will be lively because there is a clear difference on the issues in this race. Sen. Fischer supports cutting taxes, passing a balanced budget amendment and repealing Obamacare.” Kerrey has proposed up to seven debates, including one on national Fox News Sunday, but Fischer, the frontrunner, has declined most invitations. The two debated once, two weeks ago at the State Fair in Grand Island.
