The Maxwell volleyball defeated Maywood Thursday in three sets, 25-19, 25-18, 25-21.

Taelor Morrissey had five ace serves, four kills and seven digs for Maxwell (1-2). Her teammate Kayla Stenger had 15 assists and three ace serves, and Aura Adkisson had 6 kills.

“We are still making some young mistakes but it sure is nice to get a win,” Maxwell coach Laurie Mau said. “We are headed to the Loomis Tournament on Saturday, and hoping to improve our level of play.”
