Fourth) – Live music by Nashville Reject. 9 p.m. Cover charge.
Saturday, Aug. 25 • Throughout Hershey – annual Fall Festival with kids games, BBQ at the park, water fight at fire hall, parade, street dances and much more. • Cody Park Pool - Kayak games, local celebrity dunk, silent auction and lunch. Fundraiser for Bridge of Hope abuse shelter. • Senior center (900 E. Tenth) – Bingo, 7-10 p.m. • VFW Post 1504 (2100 E. Fourth) – Live country music by Ray Mullen. 7-10 p.m. Free will donation. • A to Z Books (507 N. Jeffers) – West central Nebraska’s Open Mic Nite. Established performers and newcomers. 7-10:30 p.m. Free-will donation. Refreshments provided or bring your own. • Wild West Arena – Monster trucks show with ATV races and entertainment by rodeo clown Radical Ryan Rodriquez. 7:30 p.m. Youth: $15, Adult: $20. • Sculley’s Shooters (2221 E. Silent auction. • Neville Center – Senior Center fundraiser show featuring variety music and comedy by international artist, Dalena Ditto. Starts 2 p.m. • VFW Post 1504 (2100 E. Thursday, Aug. 30 • Public Library (120 W. Fourth) – The Courage to Continue program by Cherrie Beam-Clarke, a story about surviving in the early days of the Sandhills. Noon-1 p.m. Free program.
Friday, Aug. 31 • Cedar Bowl (1100 S. Jeffers) – Cosmic bowling under black lights. 8-11 p.m. $4 per game.
Saturday, Sep. 1 • Shooters (2221 E. Fourth) – live music by Concordia, Sargent Avenue, Coldsweat, and 12 Stones. Starts at 8 p.m. Tickets: $15.
Tuesday, Sep. 4 • Cody Park – Puppy Olympics, an informal dog show. 5:30-8:30 p.m. Raffle tickets for a train depot dog house will be offered for $5.

Saturday, Sep. 8 • Wellfleet – Wellfleet Fall Festival with events around town all day including horse race on main street, free BBQ, mountain bike cross country ride, and mud volleyball. • Cody Park – Doggie Dash 5K Run/Walk, a run that can be done with a dog. Registration at 8:15 a.m., event at 9 a.m. Adults $25, youth $20, families $55. Biscuit Bite-Off Contest, homemade dog treat contest judged by dogs participating in Puppy Olympics at 10:30 a.m. Puppy Olympics with eight contests for dogs and owners from 11 a.m.-1 p.m.
