Brady received nearly $1.5 million Monday from the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Rural Development program.
The money will be used to rehabilitate current waste water lagoons, make improvements to the existing lift station and install new water meters, officials said.
“USDA Rural Development is pleased to assist in this project,” said Nebraska State Director Maxine Moul of USDA Rural Development. “It is important that communities have strong working infrastructure. The funds awarded today will help build upon Brady’s utilities.”
The money came from the USDA Rural Development Water and Environmental Program, Moul said.
