The Ambassador Golf Classic tournament will be held Aug. 17 at the River's Edge Golf Club in North Platte. The tournament is one of the finest in western Nebraska, organizers say. It is a two-man best format that is flighted after the first day. Lower flights scramble the next day, while top golfers slug it out on Sunday best ball. The entry fee is $140 per man, which includes both days of golf plus a practice round on Friday. The cart is included for tournament days, plus a dinner on Saturday night.
