Each year hundreds of people come together to volunteer during the Nebraskaland Days celebration. This year was another superb year for NLD and it could not have been accomplished without the assistance of many unpaid volunteers.

We are certainly thankful for our sponsors and sustaining members as well as the service clubs, organizations, and vendors that help to make NLD a thriving Celebration. There are also many behind the scenes volunteers and groups that do not derive any compensation from their efforts who deserve recognition.

For a festival the size of NLD it is nearly impossible to remember every individual or group who helped out, but I do want to recognize, in no particular order, Larry’s RV, the Kiwanis, Jaycees, RSVP, Keep North Platte and Lincoln County Beautiful, NP Senior Center, NP downtown Merchants, Westfield Merchants, NPHS Pacers, NPHS Cross Country team, Halsey Riders, Velvet Spurs, Miss Rodeo Nebraska organization, North Platte Hostesses, North Platte Ambassadors, NLD Foundation, the Cody Cavalry (retired NLD board members), and of course the Hall of Fame Buffalo Bill Rodeo Committee, led by Jack Morris and Shelli Arensdorf, and including Dr. Ben Lashley, Dr. Bill Burford, Jarid Childears, Jeremy Dezort, Larry Gosnell, Levi Fisher, Hank Knisley, Marty Peterson, Dr. Jerry Thompson, Jeff White, and Dr. Jerry Woodruff.

In addition, many individuals wore one or more volunteer hats including Leland and Cathy Poppe, Trudy Merrit, Geni Karre, Dr. Tom Pratt, Dan Eastburn, John Foster, John Hales, Dr. Mark Blackledge,Gary Steger, Dillon Barta, Brett Benell, Dan and Linda Mauk, Cameron and Teg Vyzourek, Carol Bodeen, Kathy Swain, Todd Schwindt, Connor Ferguson, Larry Stobbs, and Jacque Proctor and her spotlight crew.

Our volunteer concert stage crew worked long and hard this year and deserve a big hand: Clint Hosick, Caelen Nichols, Brittanee Butterfield, Michael Osbon, Donnie Trisdale, Dalton Nesvra, Tyler Bornsen, Kaitlyn Trisdale, Randy Miles, Dalton Deidel, Brady Rosenblad, Tyler Dubry, Winston Ryan, Drew Solie, Jeremiah Keith, Nathan Edwards, William York, Levi Thomlison, Tyler Hunter, Travis Dial, Tyler Johnson, Wyatt Strickland, Jason Lieneman, Isaac Wiseman, Dylan Mlady, Marton Sellers, Dakota Coon, Bradan Erdman, Cody Guenin, Dakota Guenin, Keaton Hope, Kody Oltman, Brooke Butterfield and Selena Parra. Also thanks to the employees of the City of North Platte for their extra efforts during the Celebration.

Finally, the celebration would not happen without the selfless efforts of the NLD Board of Directors. Their spouses and businesses also deserve a big thanks for allowing them time away from their families and employment throughout the year.
