When officers arrived, Ryan Baade, 27, denied making any such threats but when questioned, he told officers he had a firearm.

A shotgun was recovered and officers determined that due to a 2009 conviction of misdemeanor domestic assault, Baade was prohibited from possessing a deadly weapon.

However, that charges was dropped Monday and Baade was released from jail.

Prosecutors did not specify why the charges were dropped, only that it was "in the interest of justice."

A family member said the authorities got Baade's name mixed up with another man named Beatty.
