• Weekend movies at the Platte River Mall include “The Amazing Spiderman 3D”, “Brave 3D”, “The Dark Knight Rises”, “Ice Age: Continental Drift 3D”, and “Ted.” Schedule subject to change, see www.carmike.com.

• Every day - Cody Go Karts - miniature golf, go karts, other "dry" activities 10:30 a.m.-6 p.m. Waterslides, bumper boats & "wet activities" 1-6 p.m. See www.codygokarts.com for pricing.

• Lincoln County Fair begins with Ranch Rodeo - (separate fair schedule is currently posted under local news.)

• Lincoln Highway RV Park (4684 Rodeo Rd.) - First night of North Platte Blues Music Festival. Gates open at 5 p.m. The Moon Cats at 7 p.m. Sons of '76 at 9 p.m. Tijuana Gigolos at 11 p.m. $15. Camping available. See www.unreelevents.com.

• Cody Park – City municipal band concert. 8-9 p.m. No charge.

• Cedar Bowl (1100 S. Jeffers) – Cosmic bowling under black lights. 8-11 p.m. $4 per game.

• Sculley's Shooters (2221 E. Fourth) - Nationally known California band, Smile Empty Soul, plays post-grunge music. Music starts around 9 p.m.


Saturday, July 21

• Lincoln Highway RV Park (4684 Rodeo Rd.) - Second day/night of North Platte Blues Music Festival. James Burke at 5 p.m. Baby Jason Davis at 7 p.m. Bluz Brothers (8-piece show tribute band from Chicago) at 9 p.m. Tijuana Gigolos at 11 p.m. $30. Campsites available. See www.unreelevents.com.

• Sculley's Shooters (2221 E. Fourth) – live music by Jackson Taylor. 9-10 p.m. Cover charge.

• Lincoln County Fairgrounds – Sandhills Shootout raceway action with IMCA modifieds, hobby stocks, sports mods, etc. 7-10 p.m. Adults $10, Kids 6-12 $5, 5 and under free.


Sunday, July 22

• Maranatha Camp – Open waterfront days with water attractions including a tower and waterslide. 2-7 p.m. $6 per person, $30 for family of 5 or more.

• VFW (2100 E. Fourth) – Live country music by Ray Mullen. 7-10 p.m. Free will donation.


Wednesday, July 25

• VFW Post 1504 (2100 E. Fourth) – bingo, total of 24 games, starts at 6:45 p.m.

• Corner Popper (Westfield Shopping Plaza) – Shermie at the piano. 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m.

• North Platte Senior Center (900 E. Tenth) – the Golden Classics, a four-piece combo, plays a dance. 7-10 p.m.


Thursday, July 26

Ft Cody Trading Post (near I-80 & US 83) - live country music by Lexi Larsen of Ogallala. 6-9 p.m. Erin Wright opens at 6 p.m. Family friendly. $5 adults. Food and refreshments available or bring your own but you can't carry in alcohol.

Friday, July 27

• Cedar Bowl (1100 S. Jeffers) – Cosmic bowling under black lights. 8-11 p.m. $4 per game.

• Lincoln County Fairgrounds (W. Rodeo Road) Stoney LaRue in concert with guest Nashville Reject. LaRue is a national recording artist playing “Red Dirt” country music. $20.


Saturday, July 28

• Lakehouse (Lake Maloney inlet) Hullabaloo music festival, noon-midnight. Five bands. Rascal at noon 12-2. Sunset Alley at 2 p.m. Fierce Bad Rabbit at 4 p.m. Funk Trek at 6 p.m. Mama Lenny & the Remedy at 8 p.m. Kris Lager Band 10 p.m. $10 admission. $15 with primitive campsite. $25 power campsite. www.hullabaloomusicfestival.co

• A to Z Books (507 N. Jeffers) – West central Nebraska’s Open Mic Nite. Established performers and newcomers. 7-10:30 p.m. Free-will donation. Refreshments provided or bring your own.

• Cody Park (in the shelter) - The String Beans, a children's band, will perform at a carnival/fundraiser for the Relay for Life. Carnival from 3-6 p.m. with jumping booths, games, prizes, balloon animals, face painting, more. Tickets 25 cents each or 5 for $1. String Beans perform at 3 p.m.

• Brady Days community celebration begins (3-day celebration) at 5:30 p.m. with a kids and pets parade and later – hot dog eating contest, talent show, free movie, outdoor dance.


Saturday, Aug. 4

• Garden Glove Farmer's Market - (East 12th St.) 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Live music by Latin Jam of North Platte, plus produce, arts and crafts for sale.

• Bethel Church (2700 W. Philip) – Singer, pianist Gordon Mote in concert. Starts 6 p.m. Tickets $15.

• Lincoln County Fairgrounds – raceway action with IMCA modifieds, hobby stocks, sports mods, etc. 7-10 p.m. Adults $10, Kids 6-12 $5, 5 and under free.

• Neville Center for Performing Arts (downtown, old Fox Theater) TREO in concert. Third CD release party. TREO (of Kearney) plays originals, cover songs. Bluesy, touches of reggae & country. 8 p.m. Main stage. Beer & wine available. $12.


Wednesday, Aug. 8

• D&N Event Center – Live rock music by national artists Buckcherry with special guest Fuel. Show for all ages. Starts 6 p.m. Tickets: $30 in advance; $35 at the door; $50 golden circle. Available at www.sculleyshooters.com.


Thursday, Aug. 9

• Ft. Cody Trading Post (near I-80 & US 83) - live music by Latin Jam of North Platte and California blues player extraordinaire Laurie Morvan. 6-9 p.m. Family friendly. $5 adults. Food and refreshments available or bring your own. You cannot carry in alcohol.
