Virgil Apadoca, Sr., and two of his sons are in the Lincoln County Jail, held on $1 million bonds.

A warrant has been issued for another son, Virgil Apadoca Jr.

The rapes allegedly occurred at two parties in early May.

According to court records, three teenage girls were allegedly raped, some of them repeatedly, at a party at 1303 East Sixth and another party at 420 West F. Authorities suspect the missing man, Virgil Apodaca Jr., 20, of Hastings committed two of the assaults and aided and abetting a third. He is 5-feet, 4-inches tall and weighs 170 pounds, according to jail records.

His father Virgil Sr. is alleged to have committed a third assault and aided and abetted two others. He was arrested May 17. Two brothers, Jeromy Apodaca, 23 and Anthony Apodaca, 24, were arrested June 6.

Virgil Jr. has been in jail before. He was arrested Feb. 24. He served nine days in Lincoln County Jail on charges of minor in possession, criminal trespassing and failure to appear in court to answer an MIP charge that dates back to November.

His brothers Jeromy and Anthony are charged with three counts of aiding and abetting.

Each charge carries a maximum penalty of 50 years imprisonment.

Two of the Apodacas were in Lincoln County Court Thursday. Defense attorneys indicated they are fighting the charges. Virgil Sr. is scheduled to appear next week for a contested preliminary hearing, when the prosecutors present facts about the charges and the defense has opportunity to respond.

Jeromy Apodaca is scheduled to appear at a preliminary hearing Sept. 6. The evidence presented at that hearing could also be contested.
