Welcome to all women with a meal, dessert, wedding dress show, and special speaker Roxane Lauber. 6-8:30 p.m. Tickets $12, children 4-6 $6. • A to Z Books (507 N. Jeffers) – West central Nebraska’s Open Mic Nite. Beatles and British Invasion theme night. Established performers and newcomers. 7-10:30 p.m. Free-will donation. Refreshments provided or bring your own. • Centennial Park – City municipal band concert. 8-9 p.m. No charge. • Lincoln Highway RV Park (4684 Rodeo Rd.) - Country music mini-festival starring up and coming star Glen Templeton, playing new and classic country music. And, the Gary Phipps Show of North Platte (Neb. Country Music Hall of Fame). Gates open at 6 p.m. $15 until July 7, $20 after. Camping available. • Lakehouse (near Lake Maloney inlet) – Live country music by Rascal, 6-7:30 p.m., followed by recording artist Joel Warren, formerly of Stapleton, now touring the country. • Near Cody Park Pool - Outdoor movie Secondhand Lions, a drama and comedy about a young boy who is sent to live with his eccentric uncles. Starts at 8 p.m. No charge. Bring lawn chairs, blankets and snacks. • Cedar Bowl (1100 S. Jeffers) – Cosmic bowling under black lights. 8-11 p.m. $4 per game.
Saturday, July 14 • Main boat ramp, Lake Maloney – Carp-O-Rama family fishing with shore lunch, Dutch oven cooking and prize drawing for kids. 8 a.m.-1 p.m. Free event. • American Legion (2020 E. Fourth) – Sixth annual American Legion Riders poker run. Registration and breakfast 9-10 a.m. Stops in Gothenburg, Broken Bow, Arnold, and ends at Budke’s. Begins at 10 a.m. $20 entry fee includes breakfast. • Kelsey’s Place (219 Rodeo Road) – Ashlynn Gamble memorial poker run with prizes and raffle. Proceeds for Rape and Domestic Abuse shelter of North Platte. Stops at Hershey Bar, Wallace Bar, and Longhorn Bar. Lunch in Sutherland. Registration at 10 a.m. at Kelsey's. • Lincoln County Fairgrounds – raceway action with IMCA modifieds, hobby stocks, sports mods, etc. 7-10 p.m. Adults $10, Kids 6-12 $5, 5 and under free. • Kelsey's Place (219 Rodeo Road) - the band Crazy Horses, starts 9 p.m. Cover. Special foods served beginning at 4 p.m. • Sculley's Shooters - Live music by the Blue Collar Band of North Platte, starts at 9 p.m.
Sunday, July 15 • Maranatha Camp – Open waterfront days with water attractions including a tower and waterslide. 2-7 p.m. $6 per person, $30 for family of 5 or more.
Wednesday, July 18 • VFW Post 1504 (2100 E. Fourth) – bingo, total of 24 games, starts at 6:45 p.m. • North Platte Senior Center (900 E. Tenth) – the Golden Classics, a four-piece combo, plays a dance. 7-10 p.m.
Thursday, July 19 • Public Library (120 W. Fourth) – Presentation by Rick Windham on stargazing and constellations. Will showcase best star-gazing places in Nebraska. Attendees can bring their own lunch. Tea and water provided. Noon-1 p.m. Free program. • Ft. Cody Trading Post (near I-80) - Live music by Word of Mouth and The Talbott Brothers. 6-9 p.m. $5 admission. Bring lawn chair, blankets, food if you like. Family friendly, food and beverages including alcohol can be purchased. • Rail Bar (next to Depot Restaurant downtown) - Live music by James Burke, 9-12 p.m. $3 cover.

The Moon Cats 7 p.m. Sons of '76 9 p.m. Tijuana Gigolos at 11 p.m. Gates open 5 p.m. $15. Camping available.
