The Spirit of Nebraska council is interested in finding women who were Girl Scouts in the first half of the 20th century, (the 1930s, 40s and 50s) and those who have stayed involved in the organization as a volunteer. In other words: the eldest living Girl Scouts in Nebraska and the Girl Scouts with the longest continuous commitment to the organization. In honor of the 100-year anniversary of the iconic Girl Scouts organization, the Spirit of Nebraska council would like to find and acknowledge all Girl Scout alumnae; anyone who was ever been a Girl Scout in their youth or held a volunteer position at any time in any state in the U.S. There are an estimated 59 million America women who can say they participated in Girl Scouting as a scout, a leader or volunteer. Do you know any, or are you a Girl Scout alumna? Please contact the Girl Scouts Spirit of Nebraska council office and be counted among the millions. By sharing your Girl Scouting stories, girls everywhere can be inspired!
