James C. Snyder of North Platte was arrested early Tuesday morning, charged with assault and burglary after he allegedly broke into another man's house.
Police say Snyder, 34, forcibly broke into the home of a 38-year-old man and confronted two men there with a knife.
During a struggle, one man was a cut on his hand and required medical attention, the police report said.
Police found probable cause to arrest Snyder for second degree assault, a class 3 felony that carries a maximum of 20 years.
Police also charged Synder with burglary.
