Ghosts have been acting up again at the Neville Center for the Performing Arts. On Saturday, investigators will present a second set of findings. The Tri-city Research and Investigation of the Paranormal (TRIP) team first came from Hastings on Jan. 21 to spend a night inside the theater, armed with infra-red, night-vision cameras, temperature sensors and video and audio recorders. They heard weird noises, felt chills and saw strange movements. A month later they returned to discuss their findings with about 300 people who came to the playhouse to hear about it. Afterwards, they spent another night in the theater. They return to the Neville July 14 to talk about the latest findings. During the second investigation, the team was able to collect some absolutely amazing evidence of unexplainable occurrences, including video and audio samples, said Scott Carlson, director of the North Platte Community Playhouse. The public can get firsthand in-depth accounts about that exploration at the presentation and ask questions, Carlson said. Subscribers to the TRIP team’s website, www.tripparanormal.com, also get a taste of the collected evidence. People are so excited that organizers are planning paranormal tours of the playhouse entitled “Survive a Night at the Neville” in the fall, Carlson said. Groups and individuals will have the opportunity to join the TRIP team on an overnight stay. Details of the tours will be revealed to the public Saturday at the presentation. Admission to the presentation is a $5 donation to support the playhouse. TRIP merchandise and concessions will also be available to buy. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. and the presentation will begin promptly at 7:30 p.m., Carlson said.
