Sensations sweep KearneyTell North Platte what you think
 

The age 16 and under North Platte Sensations traveled to Kearney on July 5 for a double-header and shut out Kearney in both games by the "run-rule."

In the first game, the Sensations scored 14 unanswered runs in two innings to cruise to a 14-0 win.

Monique Ochoa went 2-2 at the plate, Kaley Stokey, Sally Hengen, Zandra Carlini and Mikenzi Wiseman went 1-2, and KayLynn Lantis was 1-1.

Marissa Ramos was the winning pitcher.

Game two was much the same, as the Sensations crushed Kearney 17-0 in three innings.

Stokey, Jenny Keck and Wiseman went 2-2, Ramos was 1-2, and Carlini, Aspen Smith and Lantis were 1-1. Keck got the win on the mound.

The Sensations are in action July 13-15 for the ASA Class A State Tournament in Hastings. In their first game, they play the Quakes Silver at 2:45 p.m. the first day of the tourney.
