The North Platte United Galaxy girls (ages 12 and under) soccer team brought home the championship of the Rushmore Cup tournament June 29-30 in Rapid City, S.D.

They defeated four Rapid City teams and one team from Casper, Wyo. to claim the title.

The United Galaxy has had a successful season.

In May, they placed second in the Kohl Cup invitational held in Omaha. They followed that up June 1 with a championship in the Springfield invitational.
