Co-Chairman Ted Tietjen invites landowners and historians from the area to become involved in efforts to mark the Trail.

"The Great Western Trail brought millions of cattle and horses to Nebraska and helped establish cattle ranching," states Tietjen. "It is an important part of our local history."

The Nebraska chapter will host the National Great Western Cattle Trails Association later this summer.

The individually-paid meal July 11 will begin at 6 p.m. with the meeting starting around 7 p.m. CST.

To reserve a seat, contact co-chair Harold Potthoff at 308-276-2548 or email coyotepp@gpcom.net.
