Mail: Respect from our law enforcementTell North Platte what you think

I really don’t know the best way to start this letter off, but beings it’s a thank you note. I’d like to give a thanks to Officer David Turner of the North Platte Police Department.

I’ve had numerous contacts with law enforcement but this one was a total turn-around, seen the true meaning of being an officer, to protect and serve.

Mr. Turner went out of his way on parade day to help look for my stolen bicycle. After 20 minutes of not finding my bike, he drove me home and the following day he brought me over a bike he had no use for.

I’ve always thought the police were “out to get me,” but in this case, He totally went out of his way to lend a helping hand. Respect at its finest! Thanks again Mr. Turner.
