It would be nice if the campaign for that seat could be conducted via thoughtful, in-depth discussion of issues as exemplified by your piece.

My fear is that, as November comes along, we will be so overwhelmed by misleading 30-second ads and mud-slinging that citizens will have a difficult time making an informed decision.

Thanks for your efforts, and I hope that others in the information business will follow your lead.
