A disturbance on early Monday morning brought the North Platte Police to the 2300 block of E. Fifth. An apparent argument between Robert I. Baker and his domestic partner turned physical and Baker head-butted the victim, causing injury and pain, according to a police spokesman. After investigating, police arrested Baker, 26, for domestic assault. Because a child was present during the violence, Baker was also charged with child neglect. And, he is also held on an outstanding warrant for failure to appear. Baker faces up to six years in jail and $11,000 fine. He is in the Lincoln County Jail, held on a $15,000 bond. It is the fourth time Baker has been jailed since 2010, according to sheriff’s records.
