At approximately 6 p.m. Wednesday, the North Platte Police responded to a report of a disturbance in the 1400 block of Rodeo Road.

During the investigation, officers contacted Christopher A. Gonzales, 28, a suspect who had eluded police for more than month.

On May 17, Gonzales allegedly pushed his domestic partner into a wall more than once, causing pain and visible injuries, police said.

That altercation occurred at a home in the 500 block of E. Second.

Gonzales evaded police until Wednesday, when he was arrested and jailed. His bond was set at $25,000.

Gonzales also spent three months in jail in 2011 for domestic assault and being a fugitive from justice. In 2010 he spent 30 days in jail on similar charges.
