North Platte shut out McCook in both games.

In the top of the first inning of game one, the Sensations put two runners on base when Kaley Stokey singled on a bunt and Jenny Keck reached base after being hit by a pitch.

Mikenzi Wiseman hit a line drive triple to the fence scoring Stokey and Keck as the Sensations jumped out to a 2-0 lead. In the top of the fifth, Sally Hengen's bunt scored Stokey for the Sensations final run as they defeated McCook 3-0.

Stokey went 3-3, Zandra Carlini 1-2, and Wiseman was 1-3. Marissa Ramos pitched five innings allowing five hits while striking out five.

In game two, the Sensations used small ball and big hits to jump out to a 4-0 lead. In the bottom of the third inning, Monique Ochoa walked to load the bases. Zandra Carlini hit a line drive double to score Stokey and Hengen.

The Sensations went on to win the game 5-0. Carlini went 2 for 2, Ramos and Hengen 2 for 3, and Wiseman and Ochoa went 1 for 2.

Jenny Keck picked up the win on the mound pitching six innings, striking out five, and allowing only two hits.

Next, Colorado

The Sensations will be in action June 22-24 in Fort Collins, Colo. for the Triple Crown Colorado Classic (the Sparkler) on June 26-30 in Denver for the largest fast-pitch tournament in the world, the Triple Crown Sparkler.

Two Sensations players were nominated for Triple Crown All-Star teams, which are played during the TC Sparkler. Catcher Mikenzi Wiseman will play in her second straight All-Star game on June 26 in Westminster, Colo.

Wiseman was named to the 2011 Triple Crown All-American team, which is selected by college coaches and based off the players performance in the All-Star game.

Second baseman Kaley Stokey was also named to the 2012 16U All-Star team. She will play in the All-Star game in Westminster as well.
