I wish to say thank you to the members of the Disabled American Veterans Chapter 3 and the many other friends who drove to Ft. McPherson on Memorial Day to “Place the Carnations” on the 543 Unknown Soldiers graves. We also remembered the four “Congressional Medal of Honor” recipients buried there by placing a bouquet of carnations on their graves. A special thanks you goes to Westfield Floral for providing the long stem carnations at their special price and to the Odean Colonial Chapel for buying breakfast for all of our crew. I look forward to continuing this event again in 2013. Thanks again everyone. By David Olson, Commander DAV 3, North Platte
