Brad Robinson gave a new mailbox Saturday to his grandfather, Hubert Fox, who lives near Lincoln – a mailbox made of iron. The 100-plus pound mailbox is the Fox’s newest tactic in a decades-old battle against vandalism. He has replaced his mailbox 18 times since he moved to his home in Raymond in 1984. He figures he’s spent nearly $900, according to a report in the Lincoln Journal Star. Fox, the father of Brenda Robinson of North Platte, blames it on troublemakers who come home from bars trying to find something fun to do. Brad is Brenda's son. Robinson welded the new mailbox from 3/16'' thick metal and installed it on Saturday. He hopes that’ll fix ’em. To read the Journal-Star report, click HERE.
