The North Platte City council will meet at 6 p.m. June 25 for a work session at City Hall. The city clerk first announced the meeting would be held June 12. The date was moved twice Monday, first to June 18 and then to June 25. The council will hear a summary of a housing study from Nancy Striebel of the Lincoln County Community Development Corporation – an agency that helps renovate and build houses for low income families. And, City Administrator Jim Hawks will present the council with a six-month financial update, as well as an update on a job study. Hawks will also conduct a discussion on the city budget.
