The Mid-America American Youth Soccer tournament was held June 1-3 in North Platte.

The Mighty Blue Thunder competed in the the boys division, ages 12 and under. The Thunder had a winning regular season in the AYSO league, with 8 wins and 0 losses.

On Saturday in they tournament, they proved to be a strong team with shutout victories 4-0 and 12-0, and on Sunday they earned first place in the district championship game against Colby, Kan., where they dominated in another shutout, 5-0.
