Monday, June 4

• Lincoln County Fairgrounds (W. Rodeo Rd) - Carson and Barnes Circus. 4:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Benefit for the Endangered Ark Foundation. Tickets $14 for adults and $6 for children. Additional discounts available. See www.carsonbarnescircus.com.


Wednesday, June 6

• North Platte High School performing arts theater – pre-Miss Nebraska Pageant concert featuring Patrick Thomas, Miss America Teresa Scalan and NASA astronaut Clayton Anderson. 7-8 p.m. Adults $15, 12 and under $10.

• VFW Post 1504 (2100 E. Fourth) – bingo, total of 24 games, starts at 6:45 p.m.

• North Platte Senior Center (900 E. Tenth) – the Golden Classics, a four-piece combo, plays a dance. 7-10 p.m.


Thursday, June 7

• Rail Bar (next to Depot restaurant) - The Kris Lager Band returns, with Spoon Fed Tribe opening the show. 9 p.m. $5 cover.

• Sculley’s Shooters (2221 E. Fourth) – Live music by JB and the Moonshine Band. 9-10 p.m. Cover charge.


Friday, June 8

• Lake Maloney Golf Course – Golf scramble, starts at 9 a.m. $60 entry fee. Proceeds benefit Miss Nebraska scholarship fund.

• A to Z Books (507 N. Jeffers) – West central Nebraska’s Open Mic Nite. Established performers and newcomers. 7-10:30 p.m. Free-will donation. Refreshments provided or bring your own.

• Eagles Club (620 N. Chestnut) – Karaoke with Nicole Ann. 8 p.m.

• Cedar Bowl (1100 S. Jeffers) – Cosmic bowling under black lights. 8-11 p.m. $2.80 per game.

• Cody Park softball fields - Outdoor movie Tangled. One of the most sophisticated animated movies ever made, based on the story of Rapunzel. Starts at dusk. No charge. Bring lawn chairs, blankets and snacks.


Saturday, June 9

• Downtown - Annual Miss Nebraska parade. Starts at 10:30 a.m.

• Lincoln Country Historical Museum (2403 N. Buffalo Bill) – Heritage festival touring antique farm tools and practices including first pioneer home construction. Two days.

• Quality Inn and Suites (2102 S. Jeffers) – Artistry in wood show and sale featuring woodcarvers from across the country. 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Admission $2.

• Centennial Park Baseball Diamonds – Craft and vendor show to benefit the Bambino Buddy-Ball program. 10 a.m.-5 p.m.


Sunday, June 10

• Lincoln County Historical Museum (2403 N. Buffalo Bill) – Second day of heritage festival. Youth talent contest at 1 p.m. Free admission.

• Maranatha Camp – Open waterfront days with water attractions including a tower and waterslide. 2-7 p.m. $6 per person, $30 for family of 5 or more.
