An impacting, life-changing message about the dangers of teen drinking will be presented June 10 in Gothenburg. The Todd Becker Foundation plans to bring their “Blockstop Summer Tour” to Gothenburg on Sunday, June 10. An entire block will be blocked off, a stage put at one end, and after a rock concert, the story is told of the alcohol related death of 18-year-old Todd Becker. The event will take place on Lake Avenue between Ninth and 10th streets. A free BBQ will be provided by local churches starting at 7 p.m. The show starts at 8 p.m. and is free to the public. The event is given in large part by Keith Becker, founder of the Todd Becker Foundation. The show was presented at Gothenburg High School in February 2010. The event will feature an impacting and life-changing message that includes live music from the Todd Becker Foundation’s touring band, Chye (Pronounced Shy), graphic videos and other audio. Since 2005, the assembly program has been held in more than 250 high schools and has reached close to 50,000 students across the central United States.
