Menghini repeats as Class A pole vault championTell North Platte what you think

On Friday, Menghini won a dual with Lizzy Stanton of Papillion-LaVista South by having fewer misses at 11-2.

The height Menghini won her second Class A title was almost a foot shorter than her height at districts last week at 12-1, which would have broke the Class A state meet record of 12-0 1/2 held by Lauren Welch of Papillion-LaVista.

A year ago, Menghini won her first Class A pole vault title in similar fashion by outvaulting runner-up Sophie Harano of Lincoln Southeast at 11-4.
