A big video screen will put Buffalo Bill Rodeo fans closer than ever to the action at the national rodeo, which is June 13-16 in North Platte. Also, this month rodeo fans can get tickets at a discount. There are three ticket specials now through May 31. The Business Night Special is good for the opening night of Wednesday June 13. A purchase of 10 or more tickets is $10/each. For the Thursday night rodeo, the breast cancer fundraiser Tough Enough to Wear Pink night, fans can “buy 3/get 1 free” general admission tickets. The third offer is a Fan Pass, where a fan has admission to all four nights of rodeo for the price of three ($39.) Fan Pass seats are general admission only. The committee offers the discount to help longtime fans as well as newcomers. “For the folks that come in groups or come every night, we’re trying to give them a price break so they can enjoy the rodeo,” rodeo chairman Jack Morris said. The video screen will bring fans closer to the action. “The replay part will show the spectacular rides or big buck offs or great runs,” Morris said. “The picture quality is unbelievable. It’s a professional production like you see at the National Finals Rodeo.” The screen, which is 12-feet tall x 18-feet wide, will be on the east side of the arena across from the grandstand. Two cameras provide different angles for viewing. The rodeo, part of the NebraskalandDays celebration, draws cowboy and cowgirl contestants from all over the nation and fans from the region, Morris said. The discounted tickets are available online at www.nebraskalanddays.com or through the NLD office at 888-313-5606. The Thursday, June 14 ticket offer is good only through the NLD office.
