As the No. 6 seed at state, the 14-3 Lady Bulldogs will play third-seed Lincoln Southeast (16-1) on May 9 in the first round in Omaha.

On March 27, NPHS played Southeast at Madison Middle School and lost 6-2 after giving up four goals in the second half.

This will be North Platte's seventh state tournament appearance overall and the first under Coach Sarah Kaminski. Kaminski took over in 2010 as head coach for Janie McCarthy who guided the Lady Dawgs to state appearances in 2004, 2005, 2007, 2008 and 2009.
