LEXINGTON-Allexis Menghini, Trevor Schramm and Tristan Sack each won their events for North Platte High School on Friday at the Don Bader Invite at Lexington. There was no team scores kept since 22 schools from Class A to Class D competed in the invite. Menghini, the defending Class A champion in the pole vault, had a new best, winning with a height of 12 feet. The junior is closing in on the Class A record of 12-10 set in 2007 by Natalie Willer of Elkhorn, who went on to compete for the University of Nebraska. Jenny Green of Grand Island Central Catholic, who also vaulted for Coach Gary Pepin and the Huskers, holds the current state record in the event for girls at 13-3, which was set in 2003. The other winner for the North Platte girls was Sack. The senior won the shot put with a throw of 39-feet. For the boys' team, Trevor Schramm was the lone winner taking the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 15.05 seconds.
