A week and a half after a cooperative law enforcement roundup netted 23 arrests in Lincoln and Dawson counties, another roundup has put 16 more people in jail.

Eight of the lastest arrestees are in the Lincoln County Jail on charges of selling marijuana and methamphetamine.

According to the Nebraska State Patrol, arrest warrants were executed Feb. 22 and March 1 in Cozad, Lexington, Lincoln, North Platte, Ogallala and York.

The Nebraska State Patrol, Lexington, North Platte and Ogallala Police Departments, Dawson and Lincoln County Sheriff’s Offices along with the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and the Department of Homeland Security participated in the investigation, which has been ongoing since December 2009.

During the nearly one-year-long investigation, the individuals sold controlled substances, including cocaine, marijuana, and methamphetamine, to undercover investigators, according to the state patrol.

These North Platte residents were arrested, charged, and bond was ordered:

• Natasha Harper, 28, three counts distributing methamphetamine, $100,000.

• Luke Hartman, 25, distributing marijuana, $25,000.

• Roy Stubbs, 24, selling marijuana, $50,000.

• Ronald Dennis, possession of meth with intent to distribute, $100,000.

• Aaron Clark, 22, possession of meth with intent to distribute, $100,000.

• Jeremy Torres, 25, possession of meth with intent to distribute, $100,000.

• Blake Suhr, 22, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, $50,000.

• Jeffrey DeWolf, 19, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, $25,000.

Suspects arrested in other counties:

• Javier Ramirez-Zamora, 22, Orlando A. Roman Jr., 18, Eric L. Stroud, 45, Brianna M.K. Devolve, 23, all of Lexington.

• Anselmo J. Ortiz, 24, of Cozad.

• Thelma Flores, 36, of York.

• Timothy L. Caudillo, 26, of Ogallala.

• Deryk L. Johnson, 45, of Lincoln.

Sgt. Eric Rice of the state patrol said these arrests are not related to the last batch of CODE busts.

In fact, many of the March 1 arrestees are not confederates of one another. The arrests came from several different investigations, he said.
