Events on the calendar for the Christmas season:

NebraskaLand National BankFREE Mobile Banking NOW AVAILABLE!

Every night thru Dec. 30 – Cody Park Winter Wonderland: Drive through Cody Park's North Pole to view displays of Santa and his elves in Santa's Workshop. Concession stand, merry-go-round rides and more. At Cody Park, 1402 N Jeffers.

Through Dec. 29 - Winter art show at the Art and Gift Gallery downtown. Open Tuesdays through Saturdays from 11 a.m.-4 p.m.

Through Dec. 24 - Visit with Santa (photos too) at the Platte River Mall.

Tuesday-Wednesday, Dec. 22-23 - A procession replicating the journey of Joseph and Mary to Bethlehem will begin at 6:30 p.m. at B & Jeffers and proceed south to a live nativity scene at the main campus of the Harvest Christian Fellowship, 1501 S. Dewey. Free soup supper inside the church.

Wednesday, Dec. 23 - 3 p.m. The North Platte Downtown Association members will give Christmas gifts to over 80 residents at the Hotel Pawnee. Donita Deaver with the Hotel Pawnee gathered wish lists from the residents. Members of the downtown association purchased gifts and wrapped them. The gifts are being presented at the opening of the annual Christmas party at the Pawnee. The party is open to the public. During the past five years, the downtown association has provided more than 400 gifts for Pawnee residents.

Saturday, Dec. 26 - Open Mic Nite at A to Z Books, downtown at 507 N. Jeffers. From 7-10 p.m., with a jam session and sing-a-long afterwards. Performers range from the accomplished to newcomers.

Dec. 26th - Craig Baxter and sister Mikaela will perform a free concert at 7:30 p.m. downtown at the Espresso Shoppe. They will play original songs as well as other favorites. A good will donation of canned goods for the food pantry is encouraged.
