A North Platte man was arrested and charged with three counts of first-degree sexual assault after allegedly having sex with two 14-year old girls. Hogan J. Mallory, 20, was arrested Nov. 13 when he responded to the police station for an interview, a police spokesperson reported. The alleged sexual assaults came to the police’s attention Oct. 20 when a family member of one of the victims contacted authorities. Interviews with both alleged victims were conducted. The charges pertain to events that occurred in North Platte between May and July of this year, the spokesperson said. First-degree sexual assault is a class-two felony and carries a maximum penalty of 50 years in prison, meaning Mallory could face 150 years if convicted on all three charges.
