Two North Platte people were sentenced for drug possession Monday in Lincoln County District Court. Zenobia Tyrell, 26, was sentenced to 18 months probation and 60 days in jail. She was granted credit for 29 days spent in Lincoln County jail and 31 days spent in treatment, satisfying her incarceration sentence. Tyrell was charged with possession of a controlled substance. In a separate case, Rodney Houghtaling also received 18 months for possession of a controlled substance. He was also sentenced to time served in jail. Lincoln County District Court Judge Donald Rowlands said that Houghtaling must live in a “Three-Quarter” house during his probation term. In other Monday court action: • Dana Lyons was sentenced to three years probation and 90 days in jail for fourth offense drunken driving. Lyons was given 62 days credit for time served, and Rowlands stipulated that the remaining 28 days of the sentence could be waived upon successful completion of probation. Rowlands also ordered that Lyons’ drivers license be suspended for 15 years and levied a $1000 fine. • Julian Rodriguez pleaded not guilty to false imprisonment, strangulation, and domestic assault. He is scheduled for a jury trial January 11.
