The Kimball Kamazee Klub is hosting a remote control airplane fun fly on Sunday, Sept. 27 at the Kimball County Airport. The field is three miles south and a half-mile west of Kimball’s only stoplight. Coordinator Rick Kirby said the annual event would feature planes and pilots from the tri-state area, as pilots from Colorado, Nebraska and Wyoming strut their stuff. All remote-control pilots are invited to participate. No entry fees will be charged. No prizes will be given. “We do this just for the fun of it,” Kirby said. Spectators can see the planes fly and look at them on display. There is no admission charge. On site seats are limited, so bring a lawn chair. The pilots check in at 8 a.m. and planes take to the air at 10 a.m. For more information, contact Kirby at (308) 235-3338 or (308) 235-5801 or email rdkirby@actcom.net.
