Moving Vietnam memorial coming to Hoxie, KansasTell North Platte what you think

The Vietnam Memorial Moving Wall will be available for viewing south of McCook in Hoxie, Kan. this summer from June 12 to June 16.

Built in 1990, the memorial known as the Moving Wall tours the country from April through November each year, visiting 15 to 20 cities.

The Hoxie Chamber of Commerce and Sheridan County Economic Development arranged jointly for the five-day display of the 240-foot-long, 8-foot-high replica of the Vietnam Memorial that is located on the National Mall in Washington, D.C. The memorial features all of the more than 58,000 names of U.S. soldiers, sailors, airmen, and nurses who were killed or remain missing in action in the Vietnam ar.

Details of location, assembly, dedication, viewing time, and group tours will be announced later.
