Motorcyclist killed in Sutherland wreck - UPDATEDTell North Platte what you think

The Lincoln County Sheriff’s office is investigation a fatality accident that occurred at 3:55 p.m. on Highway 30 in Sutherland Oct. 4.

According to Chief Deputy Dean Sparks, two vehicles were westbound on Hwy. 30 in Sutherland when the motorcycle struck the right rear quarter panel of the car.

Ronald Ryan, 58, of Sutherland, was the sole occupant of the car and was not injured.

John C. Norton, 63, of Penetang, Ontario Canada, was the sole occupant on the Kawasaki motorcycle and was wearing a helmet when the bike struck the car.

The Sutherland first responders rushed to the 800 block of Hwy. 30 in Sutherland. Norton was not breathing. The ambulance rushed Norton, to Great Plains Regional Medical Center.

Norton was pronounced dead on arrival at the hospital, according to Sparks.

Sparks said the investigation into the crash was continuing.
