Before they joined forces, Big Kenny and John Rich had both recorded solo albums in 1999, although neither album was released until 2005. The pair co-wrote a song called “Amarillo Sky” for McBride & the Ride. Although McBride & the Ride never released their version, Jason Aldean recorded the song on his 2005 debut album, and took the song to number 4 in early 2007. Big and Rich’s next album is titled, “Between Raising Hell and Amazing Grace.” Kenny Rogers hit it big in the 1980s and 1990s. He has charted more than 70 hit singles across various music genres while topping the country and pop album charts for more than 420 individual weeks in the United States alone, according to the online encyclopedia, Wikipedia. Two of Rogers’ albums, "The Gambler" and "Kenny" are among the 200 most influential country albums ever recorded.
