From the western hills of New Jersey, the Sleepy Man Banjo Boys appeared on the Today show Feb. 24 on their way to North Platte for the annual Lincoln County Country-Bluegrass Music Festival in late April.

Ten-year-old banjo picker Jonny Mizzone with brothers Robbie (13) on fiddle, and Tommy (14) on guitar bring up-tempo acoustic string music wherever they go.

Their YouTube bedroom practice videos have more than 11 million views.

They have appeared on the Today Show, Jimmy Kimmel Live, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, The Late Show with Dave Letterman, the Ellen DeGeneres Show, the Mike Huckabee Show (where they were the only act to appear twice in a row).

The Country Bluegrass Show is April 25-27, with a potluck supper and evening jam session on April 24, all at the Lincoln County Fairgrounds.

Inspired by the 1950s music of Flatt & Scruggs and The Stanley Brothers, the Sleepy Man Banjo Boys are passionate bring excitement and wonder to the stage. They have opened for the biggest names in country and bluegrass music, including Ricky Skaggs, Tony Rice and JD Crowe.

In November, their second album debuted at No. 3 on Billboard’s Bluegrass Album Chart. They performed at Carnegie Hall during Kate Winslet’s “Golden Hat” benefit for autism awareness.
